Most of Maya Color’s wholesale Guatemalan products are made from 100% natural materials, such as cotton threads, wood, bamboo, leather, hides, cane, twine, gourds, reeds and pebbles. We also offer astounding folk-art paintings through a partnership with Unlocking Silent History (link here), a 501 c 3 organization that opens spaces for indigenous youth to critically analyze how they are represented in the media and to creatively express their worlds from their perspective.
All wholesale Guatemalan products are 100% handcrafted; some may contain inconsistencies in the weaving or dye, unusual markings, patterns or figures, natural reliefs and variations that enhance the uniqueness of the product. These qualities are what make Maya Color’s products unique.
General Wholesale Information
Maya Color acknowledges that merchants, retailers, entrepreneurs and start-ups are valuable links of the retail chain that contribute to economy of Guatemala and support Mayan artisans within their local communities.
Maya Color sources high quality, ethically-sourced, handcrafted products from a long-time network of Mayan artisans in Guatemala. We offer a variety of Guatemalan wholesale products including jewelry, various musical instruments, unique folk art, various bags/purses/accessories, home decor, shawls and other unique gift items for your business.
Maya Color requests orders from artisans once a year starting in February. Orders are send via email and communication with artisans is constant until orders are delivered the warehouse. Maya Color has a long-standing practice to provide 50% or more advance payment to our artisans when we request orders from them.
Once all orders are completed, our exporter packages all product in various cardboard boxes, employing packing materials to ensure that products are not damaged during transit. After all boxes are inventoried and weighted, export documentation is prepared and approved for export to USA. The cargo enters USA via Courier or Custom Entry with the assistance of a broker located in Seattle. Our products arrive between August and September to our warehouse.
Creating a Wholesale Account
Maya Color welcomes prospective wholesale customers to establish a Maya Color Wholesale Account online. Creating a Maya Color wholesale account is a simple two-step process.
Step 1: Create your Wholesale account by completing our Registration Form (link to wholesale form).
Step 2: We will verify your information and approve your wholesale account.
Once approved, your account will be active (usually within one business day) and you will be able to access our wholesale products and prices.

Wholesale Terms & Conditions
First Time Wholesale Customers
Minimum orders for first time customers are $150. All customers must pay upfront for the first order with a credit card, check or cash. Order will be shipped upon receipt of payment. Subsequent orders will be invoiced at net 30. We require a tax resale ID number to be on file before shipping your first order; if you do not have a tax ID, contact us at (509) 768-3193.
Payments, Terms and Billing
We accept cash, checks, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover). Returned checks are subject to a $40 fee. Net 30 accounts are subject to a 1.0% monthly finance charge.
Wholesale orders can be placed online, e-mail, SMS text, FB messenger text and by phone.
Shipping and Handling
Generally, all orders are shipped within 3 business days. Orders within the continental USA are shipped via Fed-ex Ground. Orders from Alaska, Hawaii are shipped via United States Postal Service (USPS). International orders will ship upon verifying international rates and shipping requirements.
Shipping costs are calculated by carrier rates (based on weight and region) and a handling fee ($5 for each wholesale order) and are added to your invoice total when you place your order.
